Basketball is full of those types of gruesome injuries, where bones are sticking out, and I wonder if some of them are the result of steroid abuse. I know it's not good to throw that term around too loosely (hello Damien Cox), but why hasn't there been much attention towards the potential use of steroids in the NBA? Steroid-induced osteoporosis can result in fractures like the one Paul George had. Hell, when I talked to relatives of mine who work in the health field, their first thought on the cause of the injury was, "Was he on steroids?" Now, this isn't evidence that he was ever on steroids (could have just been a freak accident), but I wonder why there hasn't been much attention towards the possibility that many NBA players are on steroids. Is it because people only connect steroids to hitting more home runs?
