He’s right. Guys like Jose Bautista, who really take care of their bodies, can age like fine wine and remain elite into their late 30s. It’s the dumpy dudes with the Ortiz bods who will never make it to that age. Easy to project.

I dunno. This year's FA market is really bad, and there will still be more total spending than there was in last year's market, despite enhanced tax penalties causing a bunch of rich teams to try try to reset their luxury tax penalties for a 2019 splurge. I'm not really buying into a new, fiscally responsible free agency going forward.
