I think he's actually restored some prospect shine this year. He's handled AAA really well and cut the K-rate to 23%, and he's only 23.

I'd prefer to have Frazier than someone like Abreu or Sheffield.

I think there would be interest in Oh and Tepera - both of these guys are good enough to be used in important spots in the playoffs as a 6th-inning guy or something. And both would be around next season too. I could see Loup maybe returning some team's 40th best prospect or something if the right team needs a lefty. It's hard to see anyone wanting Clippard, and almost certainly nobody will want Axford. Maybe I'm biased because Clippard doesn't ever really look good out there even though his results have been alright, but I really can't see acquiring him with the intention of using him in the playoffs.

I had no idea he was down at replacement level until I checked a minute ago. At this point if we could unload him for another Santiago Espinal type I'd probably do that. It's not a given that it makes sense to pick up that 5.5M option.

Because they've been trying to move him around the field, have been playing the terrible Roberto Perez over him all year, and just traded him for a couple of relievers.

I don't think Cleveland believes Mejia is a viable catcher in the majors.

Cimber's inclusion makes moving Mejia more palatable, as he still comes with 5 years of team control after 2018.

I sent Meg Rowley a FG chat question awhile back politely asking how she reconciles her desire for a more inclusive baseball community with her continued employment of Ramos at HBT. She didn't choose my question. Ramos should be getting worse criticism than Hader from the people who are aware of her, because her bigoted tweets are actually current, but nobody seems to give a s*** about that particular brand of bigotry. I really dislike this person.

You should check Twitter. People are almost gleeful about the opportunity to tear down a successful person because of stupid things he said when he was 17. A bunch of ‘he’s done’ and ‘there’s no coming back from this’ tweets. It’s socially acceptable bullying.
