  1. lol Ace. He has the greatest rage-quit in the history of the BJMB.

Mark Stone signs a 1-year deal. So Stone, Karlsson, and Duchene are all scheduled to become UFAs on July 1st. The team also hasn't done anything to the roster all offseason, except for downgrading from Hoffman to Boedker. So the team that finished 30th last year has been made worse on paper, despite them not even owning their 1st round pick. The incompetence on display is off the charts.
  3. Acuna is only a year older than Tatis and putting up the same numbers in MLB that Tatis put up in AA. I don't think you can really justify ranking Tatis ahead of him right now.
  4. A tier below the others.
  5. I think: Soto Vlad Acuna Eloy
  6. I've also never owned Eloy, but his profile is ridiculous: possible 80 grade power, and he's running an 11% K-rate in AAA. Projected right now as a 128 wRC+ bat in the majors. I don't have the stones to accept the consequences of moving the next Stanton for a 30-year old pitcher. I love deGrom, but he has to age like Scherzer for this to not end in regret.
  7. I try to avoid giving you praise.
  8. Lost in the drama is a BIG TRADE. The Drunks look like top tier contenders now with deGrom heading their stuff. Eloy is one of two prospects I would not trade even for an elite ace though.
  9. We're going to give Greenwood a few days to reconsider before trying to replace him. I don't think anyone wants to lose him from the league.
  10. Damn, even abom is throwing absolute bombs at poor j4l19
  11. ^ This guy does NOT party hard
  12. I don't think Dalton Pompey makes it to April with the org. He's 26 next year, I'm pretty sure he's out of options, and he certainly hasn't established that he deserves to hold a 25-man spot all year.
  13. In my mind Boxy will always be an overweight Korean guy with glasses and a thick accent.
  14. A ranking of all prospects traded at the deadline: https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/ranking-the-prospects-traded-at-the-deadline-2/
  15. The Jays have a policy of not insuring contracts. But I don't know how this works - if Colorado had a policy on his contract, I don't know what happens to it after Tulo is traded.
  16. Tulo, Travis, Solarte, Diaz, Drury, Gurriel At least two of those guys need to get gone.
  17. In the 20 years I’ve been watching baseball closely, the only player I remember walking away from serious guaranteed money is Gil Meche.
  18. He could do the Prince Fielder “not retiring officially but doctors say I’ll never play again”
  19. Is this even the kind of injury doctors would tell him won’t get better? Because there’s no way he’s leaving almost $60M on the table.
  20. It would great if he’s walking away from baseball
  21. Sale to the DL with injured left shoulder. Poor Boxy
  22. Not bad given that the only post-2018 value traded was 3 years of Osuna and 1 year of Oh.
  23. They waited way too long to tear it down. Off the top of my head, the only really interesting piece they received in the tear-down was Yusniel Diaz, and he profiles more as a league-average COF than a star player.
  24. Yikes. That's a bad return for 2.5 years of a solid average SP who touches upper 90s.
