  1. Top Trout offer: - very elite MLB ready prospect - veteran top-100 player - mid-prime top-250 player - top-100 prospect - top-100 prospect Doesn’t really get me turgid. If he moves, prospects and picks will be almost irrelevant.
  2. I probably should not have opened the door of a Trout trade hours before beginning a weekend long bender.
  3. Wander + James is a good start. I think Dave would decrease the value of the package. Not worth the roster spot.
  4. If a Franco is a measure of value, it would take multiple Francos.
  5. Trading him to you for the picks to select Piscotty and Kikuchi did NOT work out well for me. I’m beginning to suspect that I might be an idiot.
  6. This kind of feels like a step further I guess? If the team was indicating that they could pursue an extension if they don't like the offers, Stro's comments would have been a deliberate attack on their bargaining position.
  7. Still doesn't change the fact that Stroman wouldn't have commented on it if there was any respect between him and Atkins. I think that's the real story here.
  8. The JD situation would certainly hurt a lot less if he were bad/unhealthy this season. Watching him put up a 4-5 win season after the team completely botched its relationship with him hurts. I'm a least a bit intrigued by Merryweather, but JD was moved at the absolute nadir of his value. There literally wasn't a time in the last 7 years that JD was less valuable than he was when he left the org.
  9. I hate you. Like to my core.
  10. That's basically a nail in the coffin of the 0.001% chance that he would have given up $18M to skip a few doctor's appointments next year.
  11. Just made my first ever Mike Trout trade offer.
  12. I only clicked because I just basically dropped Kikuchi in BORED and thought there might be some key insight that I missed. Thankfully there was not.
  13. I wish terrible things on both the Ye Be Judged and The Drunks franchises, and so I hope every player involved turns in to a pumpkin. Or in Puig and Longo’s case remains a pumpkin.
  14. Him and FO pretty clearly don't get along.
  15. Pretty big trade today!
  16. Stro is pathetic.
  17. I was pretty close to putting you on blast in the notes section TBQH I have a pretty light schedule to close the season. If I can hang with The Drunks this week I expect to take the division from you when I destroy you H2H in week 20.
  18. They transitioned him to the rotation this year, but he kept tiring by the middle innings, was running an ERA over 6, and hit the DL with a sore elbow. He’s been lights out in the pen last year and this year since moving back. I don’t think he’ll get another chance to start.
  19. This was not good. I’m not fond of Mr. Arrieta.
  20. https://fantasy.fangraphs.com/a-new-era-for-yusei-kikuchi-is-about-to-begin/ FG has basically become rotoworld at this point. The entire gist of the article is that Yusei Kikuchi has been better so far against teams outside the ALW, and is about to face a bunch of teams outside the ALW so his performance might tick up.
  21. It's 14 months. He's not playing again this year, and then he would have been off for 4 months for the winter. We're talking about forgoing $18M next season because he doesn't want to go to a few doctors appointments over an 6-7 month stretch in 2020. He likely would have received the Prince Fielder treatment next year anyway and spent the year at home.
  22. The only two cases I can think in the 20+ years I've been watching baseball of are Gil Meche and Ryan Dempster. But in both cases, the players were physically able to play and just didn't want to anymore. I can't think of a single case where the player is hurt and forfeits significant cash instead of just spending time at home 're-habbing'. We don't know for sure that Tulo would have suck around for $18M, but we pretty much now for sure that Tulo would have stuck around for $18M. The retirement paperwork wouldn't have been signed now if it cost him money.
  23. Still in the market for another good starter. Can build a package around Alex Kirilloff and/or Drew Waters.
