  1. A few comments on recent posts: - I'll reiterate that I don't see eliminating a draft as a viable option. 2020 picks (on the spreadsheet) and 2021 picks (in Fantrax) have already been assigned and traded, and both sets need to be used before the 2021 season starts in Fantrax or we'll be stuck tracking everything on the sheet in perpetuity, which I absolutely don't want to do. - The plan was to vote on expanding to 26/15 from 25/12 after the 2020 season, and use the February 2021 draft to do it. I'm very confident that the vote would have passed, but it wasn't set in stone that we were changing. - I don't think we should to expand to 26-man MLB rosters until 2021. Teams passed on waiver picks with the 25-man roster in place for 2020. CD's issue would be sufficiently addressed with an expansion of farm size alone. - CD - you can move players down after promoting them if they have a green flag in Fantrax (ie. they're not on an MLB roster in real life) So to summarize, I'm planning on two polls in the next couple of weeks: 1. Are you in favour of expanding MiLB rosters from 12 to 15 before the start of the August 2nd MiLB draft? Note that if this vote does not pass, there will be a second vote on MiLB roster expansion after the conclusion of the 2020 MLB season. The second poll will happen once the first poll is decided, and the goal would be to retain talent for the 2021 NPD (which would also be used to expand MLB rosters from 25 to 26): 2. Are you in favour of restricting the August 2nd MiLB draft only to players either a) affiliated with an MLB team prior to July 1st, 2020 or selected in the 2020 MLB draft? This rule would be intended to push the J2 class to the February NPD Does everyone think this is a mostly fair and reasonable way to proceed?
  2. Rolling the August and February drafts into one creates a problem in Fantrax. We need to use the 2020 and 2021 picks before the 2021 season to avoid tracking them on the spreadsheet again.
  3. I tend to agree, but I also see his point that the period between the cut and the MiLB draft has typically been used as an evaluation period that didn't exist this year.
  4. Anyone else have input? I'll wait a few days and then likely put it to a poll.
  5. There had been talk of expanding MiLB rosters to 15 (and MLB rosters to 26) in advance of the February 2021 draft, when the league transforms into a full dynasty. Both of these changes would have required a league vote. This would have had the added benefit of adding depth to the 2021 draft, which will be pretty shallow given that its only ~6 months after the upcoming draft. If other owners share your concerns, maybe we can vote on using the 2020 draft to expand MiLB rosters, instead of waiting for 2021. Input required from other owners.
  6. Was planning to post about this today. We usually start our draft after the signing deadline. This year's signing deadline is August 1st. Are there any objections to an August 2nd start to the MiLB draft?
  7. Chris Archer had TOS and looks pretty cooked
  8. So what’s the threshold for fantasy baseball to happen this year? 50 games wouldn’t really cut it.
  9. I hate that literally every prominent reporter and blogger is so consistently pro-MLBPA that it's hard to get a second perspective on what's going on.
  10. NHL is coming back NBA is coming back NFL never went anywhere MLB is going to lose their entire season.
  11. JomBoy is the best in the business at breaking down bench clearing brawls
  12. Runner at 2B to start extra innings is a f***ing stupid idea that needs to die.
  13. I don’t think I’ve ever hated an idea more than I hate this idea.
  14. I trusted King so much I took this at face value without even looking at the source. Never again, King.
  15. I don't give a single s*** where it's played. I don't think my enjoyment would be all that affected watching the games in some s***** ST park relative to a full MLB park.
  16. 3 inning games is some ********
  17. Gimme baseball in empty spring training parks as long as it doesn’t take resources that the health care system needs.
  18. I had today booked off work. Was planning to watch like 9 hours of baseball
  19. Done. We'll see you in a few days/weeks when you realize that there's no escaping this place.
  20. I think the only options are taking a ban, or permanently nuking the account and all of your posts, but I'm pretty sure you don't want either of those things.
  21. It depends where he is in real life when he's removed from the IR. If he's activated to the Rockies' MLB roster he won't have a green flag and you won't be able to move him to your farm. If he's activated and optioned to AAA he'll have a green flag and you can move him to your farm.
