That's the upside, but the downside of a ~50 game season sucks: it pretty much ruins the fantasy baseball season.

This is stupid. There’s zero incentive for the players to accept this if the alternative is that the owners force a 50-game season at 100-% pro-rated salaries. They get the same money and play 20 fewer games.

There's no more waiver draft now that we're moving to full dynasty, because we never have to trim our rosters. We're moving to a single New Player Draft every February that will replace the waiver draft and midseason prospect draft and be used to fill our farms and distribute international MLB signings (like Tsutsugo, Kikuchi, Darvish back in the day etc...). The initial NPD in February of 2021 is going to be more shallow than subsequent NPDs because we're going to pick through eligible players in our final midseason prospect draft scheduled to begin August 2nd. TCA is concerned that expansion of farms now will lead to more players being picked in the August draft, further hindering the depth of the NPD in February. I've proposed holding J2 players out of the August draft (I believe Spanky recommended this initially several months ago) to add meat to the NPD in February.
