  1. We get to watch Juan Soto and marvel at what a true 500+M superstar hitter is supposed to look like.
  2. Runs scored because of wild pitches are always earned. Runs scored because of passed balls are unearned.
  3. 6 games under 0.500. This is rapidly becoming unsalvageable.
  4. ISO is down another 4 points since you posted this. He's now 6th-worst. He has a worse ISO than Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Myles Straw. His performance this season is so absurd that I didn't even think it was possible. It's just completely ridiculous.
  5. If he keeps this up and finishes with like a 110 wRC+ and 1.5 WAR what would he get as a FA this offseason? Something like Bo got from the Mets? This has the potential to be one of the worst albatrosses in the history of professional sports.
  6. He's actually a lot worse than Lyle Overbay lol
  7. June 27th and Vlad has a 98 wRC+. Our 500M 1B is a below-average hitter. There are 14 years left on this deal...
  8. It's almost July, Vlad hasn't been on the IL, and he has fewer homers than Yohendrick PInango.
  9. Is this f***ing guy's command so bad that he's crying in the dugout?
  10. Can't believe we're back to 4 games under 0.500. Well, I can believe it, but it sucks.
  11. Our old friend Perry Minasian was shitcanned
  12. These close losses while our 500M 1B does literally nothing are really starting to get old.
  13. Looking at the Devers trade again, and its actually kind of hilarious. The Red Sox kind of won it bigly. The Devers contract is a complete albatross and they got some good pieces back. But they immediately wasted them: - Harrison looks like kind of an ace but was traded for Caleb Durbin, who sucks. - James Tibbs III is one of the best prospects in baseball, but was traded for Dustin May. May sucked in Boston, was allowed to leave for nothing, and has actually been very good in St. louis. Breslow has no idea what he's doing.
  14. Welcome back Spanky
  15. He really should do the honourable thing and stay home. Cite a minor injury and save himself the embarrassment.
  16. He needs to just hang them up. This is hard to watch.
  17. Imagine paying $500M for Yandy Diaz. Goddammit I’m depressed.
  18. It’s also been like half the season. Like, it’s great that you’ll be fine but you’ve already cost the team wins by playing like s*** for 70 games Even a 4-war season is basically off the table now and he’s being paid to put up 5+
  19. 110 wRC+ in his first year of a 500M deal is absolutely humiliating for him.
  20. While we're piling on the Orioles, I think there might be something wrong mentally with Mike Elias. They missed the playoffs last year because their rotation was absolute cheeks, and their solution was to trade for Shane Baz, sign Chris Bassitt, assume that Trevor Rogers was actually an ace, and run it back. Dude is so invested in being the smartest guy in the room that he's going to waste one of the best offensive cores of the last decade trying to prove that actually he can just pluck good SPs from the scrap heap. Reminds me of a roommate I had in university who never went to class because the professors just taught from the textbook anyway, and then just failed out of school and has worked retail ever since.
  21. Yeah. People mostly understand that luck is a thing and things need time to stabilize. But they struggle with that idea for relievers because it feels like a multi-month stretch should be long enough. But its still only like 25-30 innings and there's no reason why things like BABIP or HR/FB would have stabilized by then, even if people would have liked them to. Reality is that it's basically impossible to run a 25% K-BB% and actually be a bad pitcher. If the team listened to the fanbase and DFA'd him everyone would be whining when he's running a 2.5 ERA for the Rays for the rest of the season while basically doing the same thing he's doing now.
  22. This one seems kind of crazy. He had a 0.343 SLG in AA last year, and hasn't ever hit for power before this season. FG had him as the 11th best prospect in the system going into 2026. Brewers obviously have a huge amount of faith in their own tools of evaluation, because 31M isn't a small amount of money for them.
