That's insane lol. If they hadn't extended him they would have lost out on 1 productive year (2016).

He fit a lot of people's idea of what a hitter who will be good into their late 30s might look like: elite contact, elite power, elite command of the strike zone, doesn't rely on athleticism. Nothing about his 2016 season looked different from the previous years, and there were no real warning signs that he was actually finished as a productive player at 33.

Miggy reaching 3k hits is kind of bittersweet. A bit weird to celebrate longevity achievements for a player who should have retired 6 years ago.

Weird start to the season. Only 5 teams in our league slugging over 0.400. Last year 19 teams had a 0.400 SLG.

Yup. I felt bad for Keuchel. He wasn't good, but they booted everything hit on the ground. One of the worst innings I've ever seen.

I like Pena a bit. Any time you can get a poor man's Javier Baez from a back end top-100 prospect, that's a big win.

I think half the league has sent Jim a stink bid for Bellinger in the last month. Mine was Busch and a 1st. Jim got mad.
