Commissioner's office might have to step in and curb this nonsense. -
JP Hoornstra absolutely nuked his reputation lmao
-
Can't really be mad at Rogers for not ponying up 700M + whatever amount of luxury tax they'd end up paying. It's going to be hard to win the fans over this offseason though. Bellinger is a landmine, and there's not much else out there. Robert? Yamamoto? Chapman and Gurriel won't really cut it.
-
It’s not obvious that the team would think Bo and Vlad are the best places to spend that money
-
Very cowardly to not mention Jon Morosi in his article. Probably because Morosi has a relationship with Sportsnet.
-
Yeah, it isn't clear that Hoornstra has done anything wrong until and unless Ohtani signs elsewhere. I just think it's silly for Shi Davidi to scold fans for believing people like him and Morosi, who is employed by MLB and regularly cited as an insider by Sportsnet.
-
I didn't read the article, but fans were listening to an employee of MLB Network (Jon Morosi) who admittedly shared misinformation, and another writer in LA who's part of the BBWAA (Hoornstra).
-
Scott Boras is a ridiculous person.
-
Tweet and article are still up
-
Literally nothing
-
Which one of you is this?
-
lol, did you go to the airport just to scope things out?
-
It's f***ing happening
-
Won't need him after the Yamamoto signing is announced
-
Kevin Gray migth finally have peace if this falls through
-
f***ing hell
-
Some poor movie producer is going to get off his plane in Toronto with half the national sports media and the entire Japanese population of the GTA waiting for him
-
I think it's honestly kind of ******** to have an opt-out with a 600M guarantee
-
I'm banning anyone who stains this beautiful thread with re-litigation of the Bauer debacle.
-
If they Jays sign Ohtani, they will have built up incredible amounts of public goodwill overnight. Like, franchie-altering. Fair or not, anyone who thinks they'd follow that up by bringing in Trevor Bauer, and exposing themselves to the negative attention that would come with it, is not paying attention.
-
MoccBomb apparently had the Candelario deal first. I believe him.
-
If we sign Ohtani, how soon after Kikichi’s retirement is he added to the level of excellence?
-
Imagine going on the internet and complaining that Ohtani isn't fulfilling his obligations to the sport of baseball.
-
He was ubelievable. That injury looked bad though
-
Oilers are on a heater. They'll be in the playoffs this year. And probably don't play in the NHL's version of the Trop.
