  1. There are performance incentives that could push it to 11M if he's healthy all season. But yeah, seems like he misread the market. Actually, forgot about the 1M buyout he got. So a guaranteed 9.5M + another 2.5M in incentives available.
  2. Brewers re-sign Miley: 1/7 plus a 1.5M buyout for 2025
  3. Poor Michael Busch
  4. I don't think anyone is giving the Braves anything for Gonzales. He's terrible, and coming off surgery to repair a nerve issue in his elbow.
  5. I just looked at Hafner's FG page for the first time in awhile. From 2004-2006 he played in 406 games and had a 167 wRC+. He was literally Juan Soto good.
  6. Feels like the DDL playoffs all over again
  7. Damn, Laika beat me by seconds
  8. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/mariners-attach-kelenic-to-salary-dump-may-god-have-mercy-on-their-souls/#comments FG predictably melting down, as they do any time a team makes a move with consideration to salary.
  9. I think whoever signs him will be able to spread it out over longer than 10 years. Like 14/500 or something. If he ages like Miggy or Pujols it's 8-9 elite seasons. But he might just keep hitting until he's 40, like Ortiz, Big Hurt, Thome etc...
  10. AA is going to have a hard time getting him to agree to a 12/200 deal with an annual 1M donation to the Braves foundation.
  11. The more I think about it, the more I think a Soto extension might be on the table. They probably had plans on giving 300M contracts to Vlad and Bo, but that's not looking like it's going to happen. So why not pivot to a guy who's trending towards 1st ballot HoF territory who you can lock up at 25?
  12. Ozuna is at DH and Olson at 1B. White will be cut before April.
  13. Mariner fan reaction to this reminds me of us when Travis Snider was traded
  14. There isn't a team in the league that would give Springer 3/67.5M on the market right now. I think it's pretty clear that Toronto would dump that contract if they had a chance and reallocate the money elsewhere.
  15. I'll give you Pasquantino for him
  16. Probably not. I have CES at 1B
  17. Mason Miller
  18. We just brought a new guy in to BORED and he completely invigorated the league with a flurry of moves. Seems to actually be interested in fantasy baseball.
  19. 42M on Pagán and Martinez is a waste. They’ll be paying these two what Sonny Gray makes next year.
  20. I got Vinnie P
  21. lol, didn’t see this until now. Offer came in unsolicited and I accepted. Love Vinnie P.
  22. Yeah, I get it. Maybe they can get Robert. Or can actually extend someone like Bregman if they trade for him. But if neither of those are options and Soto is, I don't think you pass to hang on to Tiedemann. I'd probably feel different if I thought the team was primed for a 5-year WS contention window, but IMO they have a chance to be that good in 2024 and I'm not sure they're set up for that to continue very long after.
  23. I just don't value pitching prospects very much. How many high-end pitching prospects have come in and been elite their first year or two recently? Kirby? I guess it's not really fair to exclude Strider even though he was never a high-end prospect.
  24. I think Tiedemann for Soto is fine. The team has a real window to win, and it might not be open for much longer. A bat like Soto is their biggest need. Get a 5-win season, then recoup a comp pick.
  25. I'm not expecting Ohtani, but I still kinda think Toronto ends up with Soto and the cost won't be as much as many are expecting. He'll play a year here before signing with the Yankees.
