It's kind of a shame, because Dickey has given the team two pretty solid seasons. If he had been signed to like a 3/40 FA contract or something we'd all be looking at it is a pretty nice buy. Unfortunately this was the texbook example of buying a player at his absolute peak value.

Baltimore ranked 20th. That list is invalid.

Steamer has him at 3 wins, and fan projections have him at 4 wins. Add another 1-1.5 wins for framing, and you have a hell of a player. He's good for a lot of the same reasons Russell Martin is good.

Mets could actually be sneaky good this year: C - d'Arnaud 1B - Duda/Mayberry 2B - Murphy 3B - Wright SS - Flores CF - Lagares LF - Granderson RF - Cuddyer Harvey deGrom Colon Wheeler Niese Montero/Gee/Syndergaard That's the best they've looked in awhile.

It's frustrating because I typed out a really long post the last time you brought this up, which you ignored, and now you're back on the same subject in another thread. If Navarro was a +10 framer and d'Arnaud -10 my opinion on their value would be reversed.

He's probably a +10 framer. Add that to the bat that's at least league-average and you have the potential for 4+ win seasons if he can stay on the field. I don't hold the Mets org in the highest regard, but I really hope they don't let the passed balls hurt their perception of how good he is.

d'Arnaud is currently a good major league catcher.

Dickey has been a solid mid-rotation workhorse starter, but obviously that's not something you give up Syndergaard and d'Arnaud for.

I wish yahoo would let you customize o-rank and in-season rank based on either 5x5 or 7x7 with SLG, OBP, hold, and K/BB.

I really don't hate what they're doing. There are like 9 potentially interesting guys competing for the last 2-3 spots in the pen. It would obviously be nice to have another elite arm back there with Cecil, but if you can't have that, this is how you do it.

Yeah. Anything outside the top-100 is basically worthless.

Trying to think of what I have to show for my prospects. Syndergaard - included in deal for Abreu Glasnow - traded for Lester Salazar - traded for Belt who was traded for Kennedy Dozier - traded for Vargas who was traded for Crisp Parsons + Medeiros - traded for Wada Gyorko - traded for a pick (that sack of s***) Barretto - traded with 1st for Shoemaker Alcantara - traded + Calhoun + 1st for Fister I think that's every noteworthy prospect I've owned. The only one I didn't draft myself is Glasnow, so at least I've made decent use of my draft picks.
