I was talking more about the type of trade where the return is only valid if the guy you're selling high completely tanks. Like Donaldson for a 3rd. Or any of the offers I got on Keuchel last year.

Not really the same thing. Belt and Salazar were in pretty similar spots last year. I just needed a bat more.

"Selling high" on breakouts tends to be a really bad idea. Low upside, and really f***ing big downside.

So is Horacek the worst coach in the league? The Leafs' best players may not know where the defensive zone is, but they actually have a fair bit of offensive talent. How the f*** is this team struggling to score more than 1 goal per game?
