Yeah. At the time I thought it was OK. Now, that trade looks disastrous. Nichushkin should be the 2nd or 3rd piece in a deal for a starter.

It would just be tough to find a fit. You'll need a team with two legit #1s, which is what, 2-3 teams? Then one of those 2-3 teams needs to be A) motivated to add a top forward, and of the belief that the best way to accomplish A) is by moving a goalie. I think the only way to add goaltending without a massive, massive overpayment is going to be acquiring them as prospects backups.

Yup. No chance I entertain the idea of moving Lundqvist/Howard for a player valued at around the same range. Too difficult to replace.

I've never owned Castro in any league. 100 wRC+ bat who I think gets overdrafted, though he's a decent re-draft often. Don't like him much at all as a dynasty asset. He's a bad SS defender at 24, and reportedly has a piss-poor work ethic. Hard to see him long-term as a SS. He's also a complete piece of s*** as a person, which is irrelevant for fantasy, but adds to my distaste nontheless.

Still not big on Alcantara, but the Calhoun side is more valuable. Not by enough to make me regret it or anything.

Lester had like 4 straight years of declining xFIP and was 30. I was buying an inning-eating SP3/4 while recognizing that he could be a true-talent 4 ERA guy going forward. Your end worked out really well, as Glasnow is now a consensus top-25 guy. Lester was just better than anyone expected.

Bogaerts is going to provide 160 games of 130 wRC+ offense and average defense at short. No innings for Hanley.

I like TRM end of this. I've never really trusted Hanley, and now he's a LF. Very smart decision to sell with one year of SS remaining.

It wouldn't have been that bad if Lester continued down the trajectory he was on, but he looks like a legit ace now. I didn't see his 2014 season coming.
