    That would have to be the case. Horton's cap hit is 6M for 5 more years vs. 4.75 for Clarkson. Hopefully for the Leafs he retires.

    Nice move. I like it for jaysblue. Kane is the higher end offensive talent, and he picks up a couple of other assets. Way to take advantage of being out of the race.

    -12.5 positional adjustment for 1B. I think he gives you like 0.5-1 win over a season.

    This. They had just made the big payroll bump to $210 million over three years, and had just signed Ryan, Burnett and Molina and traded for Glaus. It felt like a new era in Toronto, and seeing Doc beat Santana on opening day with the new guys (Molina in particular) playing a big role was special.
