  1. I'd really just prefer that he not be here at all. He isn't depth that you actually want playing.
  2. Using a roster spot on the short side of a DH platoon is wasteful. Especially when Danny Valencia can do the job and actually play a couple of positions.
  3. I think the money is immaterial - it's a one-year deal, and it's not like it's going to be put to use elsewhere at this point. The concern for me is that this team has a history of shooting itself in the foot by giving tons of playing time to bad players, and I'm scared that Viciedo is going to get a few hundred plate appearances with which to contribute nothing.
  4. He's not serviceable or competent. Or at least he hasn't been yet.
  5. Yeah, but you can apply that logic to any AAAA starter. Which I guess brings us back to the idea that hoarding as many as possible is probably not a bad idea.
  6. I think he has the lowest floor of the four, and I'd prefer the others to him if I'm looking at 2015 production. I think his ceiling is higher than the others though.
  7. I could see Karns becoming a very nice asset. Very hard to see any of the other three becoming more than a fringe keeper.
  8. 3.0 Juan Francisco was EE 2.0. We have the thread for proof.
  9. He's probably 6th on the depth chart, so he should get 20+ starts in.
  10. I mean I don't want to lose if he gets 400 PA and then misses September with an injury. I've had someone void a bet in that manner before.
  11. Agreed, but if he gets 300 PA despite missing the time I win.
  12. 299.5 PA O/U No action if Viciedo changes organizations or has more than one 15 day DL stint.
  13. Let's throw $20 down on it. Barring injury, Vicieco sees 299.5 PA.
  14. Do you really see a situation in which Viciedo doesn't get 300+ PA, even on a minor league deal?
  15. Even if it's only a minor league deal, I'd prefer not to have him. This team is not above giving hundreds of plate appearances to a terrible player.
  16. I like the Turner pick. 2B/3B/SS eligibility with an above average bat is a nice asset. Mattingly says he's going to play him more this year too.
  17. So I was looking at Gibbers' roster, and the only guy on his team older than 27 is Joe Smith, who's 30. That's pretty remarkable.
  18. Stroman++ assuming Houston would even listen.
  19. I'm expecting him to implode. He has some of the worst stuff in the majors, and has been getting by because of Lucroy and Maldonado. I move do Texas without those two will be ugly I think. I'd prefer Buehrle and 1-2 other guys.
  20. That and the fact that there were better starters available in the waiver draft.
  21. Gibbers e-mailed 61 GP 62 JF 63 BOX 64 HVK 65 KK 66 SVG 67 SAM 68 SVG 69 SPG 70 BTS
  22. FTD is up at 12:04 if TRM doesn't show.
