  1. Starting to think Bauer is never coming back. If it happens, it's probably going to be this offseason, but there' been radio silence on his market.
  2. He's a legitimate moron "And in October, Franco posted and then quickly took down a link to a song, Cambio, by Puerto Rican rappers Ozuna and Anuel AA. The lyrics translated from Spanish, referenced “so many friends that I helped, so many girls that I trusted, they were all Judas, you saw it” and also “Everyone is looking for money.”"
  3. I kind of like what the Royals have cooking honestly. Ragans is a stud, and now has 3-4 solid guys behind him in the rotation. Witt, Perez, Pasquantino are all really fun. Some upside with Melendez, Garcia, and Isbel.
  4. Finally, Kikuchi has broken his silence
  5. Exactly the same terms that the poverty Padres declined
  6. Kershaw just said he feels great and will be back at midseason
  7. Missed that Castillo Kirby Snell Gilbert Miller Woo Hancock Ray (midseason) Would just be an embarrassment of riches
  8. They're honestly low-key really solid additions
  9. Toronto should be in on him IMO. A WAR is a WAR, and there's nothing wrong with stacking the rotation if a big bat isn't available. It would also free them up to trade another arm for the bat they're looking for.
  10. What Quero? Either way the Kirk side
  11. Agreed JDM feels like exactly what the team needs: a monster power bat in the middle of the lineup. He also might be more valuable than the WARs suggest, if you believe in the DH penalty.
  12. Deluca is going to be annoyingly good for TB
  13. Reports of jays being interested in JDM. He’d be a great addition.
  14. I agree but I don't think they'd include Burnes, due to optics. Adames would be great though. Or even prospect capital.
  15. Taking on the 5/136.5 left that Yelich is owed might be the best way to add someone with 4-win upside. We'd get a legit asset or two for doing it.
  16. Could get crazy for the same reason everyone here kind of wants him even though nobody seems to love the idea: he’s the only FA hitter left who seems to offer the potential for 4-5 win season. It’s a bidding war waiting to happen.
  17. Still not sure why we'd think the change in approach would cause him to outperform his xwOBA by 40 points. He didn't change in the direction of players who usually beat x stats (become more of a dead pull fly ball power hitter).
  18. Some smart team is going to sign Hunter Renfroe or Adam Duvall for like 1/8 and get a 2-3 win season. Some other team is going to sign Cody Bellinger for like 8/200 and get a 2-3 win season. There's also no reason why we can't be the team to give Austin Meadows a chance to rebound.
  19. Getting backed into a corner and forced to gamble 200M on a player with major red flags because he's all that's available is exactly what you don't want to do.
  20. Seth Lugo to the Royals - 3/45
  21. They'll trade him if they think they're getting a player who's just as good, plus other stuff.
  22. Not that MLB or the PA will care, but overly complex contracts and luxury taxes might be bad for fan engagement. A big part of NHL fan discourse is discussion about the cap, with cap hits readily available and mostly easy to calculate.
  23. I thought players got taxed in the state in which they earned their pay. I'm sure I've read about NHL players paying tax in many different states based on games played. Seems wild that Ohtani would be able to earn 700M in Cali, then piss off to Japan and collect 680M of it without a dime going to California.
