Kelly and Masterson are awful, Buchholz might be awful, and POrcello and Miley are good but not front-rotation guys. Bad rotation. It might not matter though. -

Guys, we're only 1 week from opening night. Lester vs. Waino. I can't f***ing wait. Also, for months I though the Jays opener was falling mid-work day, but it's on a Holiday, which is awesome.

Yup. It's annoying because A) he's jasyblue, and he has a good rapport with Gibbers and keeps going to back to that well to buy long-term lineup fixtures at pennies on the dollar.

Same team next year, minus Buehrle and with Dickey, Bautista, Reyes, and Edwin another year removed from their physical primes. If the payroll space was there (and it isn't, so its a moot point) Hoffman for Hamels is a no-brainer.

Some of these players seem to think that they're above consequences for assault as long as it happens on the ice. I'd love to see these things start being punished in the same way it would be if they happened on the street.

I think that's what surprised a lot of people. No opportunity to discuss offers, and the final deal doesn't have that 'wow, I can see why he accepted immediately' factor.

4 wins from Hamels replacing Sanchez could be the difference between playoffs and no playoffs. His value to this team is through the roof.

Interesting. Would you trade prospect capital for pieces to help in 2016? In terms of likely top-200 talent next year I see Soler, Arcia, and possibly Machado. I'm looking forward to seeing you start to acquire talent to help in the present.

Marte for Heaney and Odorizzi Posey and Hutchison for Profar, Myers, Chacin, 5th round pick Castro for Shelby Miller jaysblue is absolutely feasting on Gibbers.

Marte is only entering his age 26 season. As long as he maintains CF eligibility, that's a hugely valuable asset. Close to top-50 for two guys I wouldn't have top-200.
