  1. It's more manufactured than how the Twins manufacture their runs.
  2. Yup, they have the concept of 'selling high' down pat.
  3. Even if said player has been worth on average 3+ WAR and is on the correct side of the bell curve? If the Jays got Bruce for Nolin+ I'd be f***ing ecstatic.
  4. K rates for starters have been climbing considerably as well, but you're right starters don't have as many innings as they used to, even in the 90's, especially for high K pitchers. A pitcher with a 10.5/9 k rate would have to log at least 256 IP to reach that mark. For comparison, Roy Halladay had 266 in 2003.
  5. My guess would be Kershaw, if he stays healthy and maintains those K rates, seems reasonable he could do it once.
  6. Damn that's a f***ing good lineup next year and lol at their depth, but geez, their starting defense is gonna be pretty s***, outside of Sandoval, Pedroia and maybe Betts.
  7. This is such a stupid suspension. Schilling was going to be deservedly ripped apart for making such a stupid, uneducated statement.
  8. For some really weird reason I highly doubt that
  9. Refer to zeros post above, you're acquiring him for his catching skills, not his hitting skills. Still worth more that Thole on defense alone.
  10. Yup, and whiff rates on his curve(according to fangraphs) are pretty good as well. Everything checks out looks like he had bad luck and a 15.8% HR/FB is unsustainable, would be a really good depth piece if anyone gets injured during the regular season. At the very least, could be a dominant bullpen arm.
  11. If Upton came with even a short extension I do this trade in a heartbeat. Otherwise hutch's years of control is too valuable.
  12. Even if Lowrie wasn't an FA, that's still a s*** trade.
  13. Oh yeah, he just did get the boot, my bad.
  14. Matt Silverman, damn Harvard boy.
  15. Still surprised that Kevin Towers still has a job, the last decent move I can remember is when he traded for Aaron Hill.
  16. Chances are, barring any stupidity on the part of management, Nolin will get an opportunity to start next year, when Dickey gets injured or Happ gets a venereal infection.
  17. Justin Williams reached A ball at the age of 18 and put up a 131 wRC+ there with a total 135 wRC+ last year. That's pretty decent value for a back-end starter.
  18. A flyball pitcher going to chase field? Don't think he's going to do better.
  19. That's fine, but the poster I replied to said that Reyes should DH for all home games. Like you said, way too much. But even if Reyes is a below average shortstop, he's still more valuable in general.
  20. So half of his games are played as a DH? He suddenly becomes an average to below average hitter, and you lose any value from positional adjustment even if you keep him healthy longer, which is not even close to a guarantee. You might as well keep him at shortstop.
  21. Whomever mentioned Stephen Drew? I like that option.
  22. I can only cower in fear of your astute analysis and eloquent grammar.
  23. Wow, Buehrle is absolutely dominating tonight, granted it's the Mariners, but still...
  24. 4 games ago he was literally at 5.9, it would be hilarious if he actually manages to surpass Kluber.
  25. 70 arm=above average #ANALISIS
