EE has been gone for more than a month now and they are still 4th. Sure he is a big reason why, but the fact remains this is one of the best offences when healthy.

Clearly a vagina injury.

He played all 19 innings yesterday and has been injury prone for years now. Just Gibby protecting Reyes and while I am not happy he is sitting today, it is the right move.

Keep in mind Reyes is available off the bench to PH and that could come in very handy later in the game.

I agree it's a terrible game to be sitting him, but it's probably likely that Reyes might be hurting a bit and needs a day off to rest.

Yeah I've been advocating a Melky extension all year for that very reason. He seems to like it here too which is a good thing.

I hope AA let's Francisco and Lind go, or somehow trades Francisco for something. Rasmus is as good as gone as well.

Ok, so we bring Lind back and then forget about acquiring a 2B/3B? Even if payroll goes up there isn't going to be an endless pit of money to work with after guys see increases through their contracts and arbitration. This team has bigger needs that can make a stronger impact on the roster.
