    He has only had 1 start in the minors so far. Can't risk it just yet, we may very well need him for another start.

    It very well could be too much to overcome, but if they can get to .500 by mid season, they have a legit chance to challenge for a wild card I think.

    It's fine to have short term goals, they just need to be realistic. As long as this team plays good consistent ball the rest of the season, they will creep their way back into the mix. Obviously a big winning streak gets them back quicker, but we can't, nor should we expect that to happen.

    If the Jays win today, that's 5 of their last 8. Not too shabby.

    The best part is that Buehrle did it against a good offense. If he is right moving forward that's going to be huge for this rotation.

    Nah, his D has been good overall. Errors happen, his are just magnified because of when they happened.

    I don't even care anymore if the Jays win/lose. I am just watching for the sake of watching baseball.

    Hopefully Buehrle is figuring things out. Other than that horrendous inning last start he was good in the other innings, perhaps he is going to be able to keep this team in games moving forward.

    Just getting in, how has Buehrle looked so far today?

    Well, JJ is a FA, so his payroll won't count, but even cutting $10M for Buehrle will be pretty significant. Could also consider moving Melky to free up another $8M. His contract is quite team friendly and I am sure there would be plenty of interest, then just go with Gose in the OF (but I really doubt he moves Melky).
