The thing is, if JPA hits 30 bombs this year which looks pretty good right now, he is going to be considered one of the best catchers in baseball. It's sad but a good thing for the Jays if he is looked upon that way. Provides a great trade chip.
When he comes back, this lineup is elite. Lineup is still decent without him though, especially now that our guys are seeing the ball well and taking pitches. As the OBP climbs, so will the runs.
Ortiz is such crap. Gibbons is going to have to work the pen today. I don't think Ortiz gives us more than a couple today the way he has looked thus far.
