  1. So tell me this, does Janssen probably get us out of that inning and give us a chance to win? If the answer is yes then that call just blew us the game. If the answer is no, then Janssen isn't good enough to be the closer. As for mathematically, please provide a source proving such claims. I would like to know what the probability of Janssen saving that game was after Lincoln already blew it compared to Lincolns chances after Janssen probably gets us out of the inning.
  2. What? So you prefer to use Lincoln with the game on the line and save our best reliever to start off a fresh inning with significantly less pressure? That is losing logic right there.
  3. What does that have to do with anything? You commented on his pitching performance and I responded as to why it didn't make much sense.
  4. The record goes on the players for all pretty much s***ing the bed. The state of our team, minors and finances falls on AA.
  5. So you would rather Janssen only used in save opps if it means the team loses more games?
  6. You realize he is a KB pitcher and will have passed balls right? You trolling?
  7. I kind of feel that way as well. In either case, this team is f***ed.
  8. With the Rays only needing a single hit to win the game, I bring in the best option I have period. You play to win games not for meaningless stats.
  9. Because Gibby was saving him for a save that never came. Instead he chose to bring in Lincoln with the game on the line in a game he really needed to win if he is even entertaining any ideas of this team digging itself out of this mess.
  10. Well, they basically need to play .600 ball the rest of the season. They have won 3 of their last 5, so they are still on course. A win streak would help ease that burden, but if they keep winning 3 and losing 2 they will dig themselves out of this, just will take a long time.
  11. Why not? I agree you probably shouldn't start an inning with your closer, but if the team is about to lose the game, should we bring in Lincoln or Janssen? No point saving your closer for a save that never comes.
  12. People should stop listening to him, he doesn't really provide any insight, just a cheerleader at this point.
  13. If they can sneak a few wins out, they might be ok heading into June, but they are really going to have to dig deep the next 3 or 4 weeks and show what they are made of, or it will all come crashing down.
  14. Yup and a pleasure to watch at that. Just needs to let his play do that talking. #YoungandtooStupidtoUseTwitter
  15. The arrogance is probably fueled by stupidity.
  16. He must be a Yahoo user
  17. Now they are the laughing stock of sports in North America.
  18. Just curious how you found this board then? It's only been up for a few days now.
  19. The sad thing is, everyone sucks on this team. How did this all happen at once? Its really both unfortunate and a spectacle to behold.
  20. That friend was Ricky Romero wasn't it?
  21. I think most of us would have been happy if he kept the course, and just brought in a legit SP and maybe beefed up the bench. It seemed like we were building to something big, but now we are going to be buried in payroll for the next couple seasons and who knows what AA will be able to muster up in the winter.
  22. I wonder how Ricky feels getting demoted for Ramon freaking Ortiz.
