  1. Agreed. Another option would be if AA went after Capuano. Not as good of an option, but decent if that is the best we can do.
  2. For a one year deal, I would be ecstatic if AA could convince Rogers to open up the wallet. Would be the perfect bridge to ease Stroman/Hutch/Nolin into the majors. Plus no negative long term ramifications. Lots of money would be coming off the books for 2015/2016.
  3. The question is if the Jays are even an option for him?
  4. I get that, I'm just saying adding too much can be a bad thing as well. The contest is fine as is, some tweaks can help, but too many might not.
  5. You could add a category for the team that hits the most HR's that week? Just so it's not only focused on individual players so much.
  6. Looks good. You don't want too many options as well, so this should be good. Not sure about picking a AAA player though, but I guess it serves a niche. My only issue with that is the vast majority don't watch enough if any AAA games.
  7. Sounds good. A schedule would help to keep some interested who want to win but may not be free every game to participate.
  8. So someone could sit out the entire first half and then play in the second half and potentially make the playoffs over someone who played the entire season and had more points overall? Should be the best teams overall. Maybe have more bonus point days and identify which days they will be on prior to the season. You could then decide on the day what the bonus points will be based on. Small things like that will help to increase interest and activity and makes it a fair playing field for everyone.

17-8 in the last 25 and a good bet to win tonight, impressive.
  10. Yeah I don't disagree with this. I much prefer Jiminez, but for some reason I feel like Santana is more appealing to AA.
  11. Lol. He might not be good enough for my staff, but he is for AA's.
  12. Coming into the winter I definitely wouldn't have wanted Santana as our primary offseason acquisition, but at this point, he is still a solid upgrade when you consider the depth behind him gets stronger.
  13. I get that but he is still a decent SP and would be an improvement to our rotation.
  14. Santana is a solid SP. I would prefer Ubaldo, but I don't get why there is so much hate for him.
  15. I'll let this slide since I called you a f***ing idiot, but don't push me.
  16. Complete BS. This has to do with selecting the right players, not buy in. Stop being a f***ing idiot.
  17. Good management that does not deviate from their plan is difficult to come by. It's a shame that this organization was set for great things and now here we are.
  18. I always love a team with great balance. The Rays and A's are so good at it. Beats having dead weight like Vizquel and Derosa on the roster and limiting options.
  19. Absolutely, an excellently built team under their payroll constraints. They will be contending for a long time with their pitching depth. Once they deal price, if they can get another young bat, they could be devastating in a couple years with that young core.
  20. Sure they are a good team, I am not disputing that, just pointing out the fact that no team in the division looks truly elite other than maybe the Red Sox, but even then I don't think everything will break so perfectly for them this coming season.
  21. That offence is weak and you are right if their rotation regresses a bit or they suffer some injuries, they will be in a world of trouble. But that case can be made for any team in the division right now.
  22. The division has huge question marks across the board. As of right now though, I like the Rays and Red Sox as the favourites. That being said, any team could realistically win this division if a few things go right. If the Jays can get a guy like Ubaldo, then I like their chances as well, even with the question marks.
