Ever since AA left Keith Law has liked most of our picks. People just have some weird Law complex where they think he hates everything. I will admit it's hard to get through some of his political crap but he's still solid at analyzing prospects.

I'm not sure how reliable McRae is but he also says they like Ronan Kopp. BA has him ranked at 234 but the video of him looks good. A slim 6-5 lefty with a projectable frame.

Some names I like for the 2nd round and 3rd. I'm not loving Cole Wilcox from what I read he hasn't improved his stuff since highschool and for a 100MPH fastball it's very hitable. Double down on Boras and pick up JT Ginn too. It doesn't really matter how long it takes to sign, there's not going to be a minor league season this year.

These are our next pick values, I'm still in the mindset you go high upside for pick 42 and find the money in the other picks. We were able to land Kendall Williams for around that price last draft, would love to see another high upside arm like that. 42 - $1.77m 77 - $805.60K 106 - $549.00K 136 - $410.10K

I'm not sure if they will need to go overslot or not (probably considering Boras) but Beeter fits too as a guy who shines in the Analytics. Typically we take risks in our 2nd and 3rd round pick but landing Martin probably has us shifting some focus. If they have to save some money punt the 4th or 5th pick.

I would be pretty surprised if he got out of the comp round. This draft is short on guys who can stick at SS. I think the Cardinals were connected to him previously but they don't have another pick before us. I could see him going to the Pirates or Royals in the comp round.

The Jays announced him as a SS but it's kind of their MO to let guys play there until they can't. People were saying Bichette and Groshans couldn't play SS but the Jays still put them there. Let them play until they prove that they can't.
