No. He's not passing up guaranteed $6,180,700, he'll sign as late as possible to see how much more they can squeeze out of the Jays. I don't think any of Boras's clients have signed yet.
Not sure how this could work for us, we have a lot of AAA depth and those guys should be getting some major league reps but damn would be cool to see some of our top guys getting some reps in too.
But we're talking overall talent. I'm not saying he wouldn't see good pitching but the vast majority of what he saw are going to be guys who never have a chance in pro ball.
Where does that data even come from? College? Wood bat? He hasn't even faced pitching similar to what the top 100 has let alone comparing him to MLB hitters.
MLBPA keeps losing, they better get their s*** together and really figure out what they want in the next CBA because the owners are thinking 5 moves ahead and keep getting everything they want.
The Royals commitment to their minor leaguers are paying off. They got Saul Garza (379 on BA top 500) and Kale Emshoff (174 on BA top 500).
Hopefully we see similar results.
