I don't think that's necessarily their preferred plan. That's just what this blogger wrote. Though truthfully it also might be the best option for the last 62 games of 2014 given who is available via trade currently.
Kawasaki is absolutely terrific as our primary utility IF and I'm fine with him playing longer periods during injuries. But we so desperately need a good, regular decent hitting 3B or 2B it's not even funny.
