  1. And does Thole even have an option left?
  2. Suddenly neither Thole nor Navarro seem like appropriate backups. I'd prefer Navarro so we have a good bench bat maybe but he's too much money for that.

  4. People forget this because he went from.so hot to so cold
  5. No. Hurl is on the bus headed over now.
  6. No I don't trust pitching prospects as much as position player prospects
  7. How are the Rays going to score runs
  8. BNS on Toritani staying in Japan: http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/blue-jays-infield-target-toritani-stays-in-japan/
  9. Joe Carter has gotta be in there too and Vince Carter
  10. That's the thing. He did that. And it was awesome. But he isn't even a top 30 franchise player in terms of skills. Halladay and Delgado were stuck playing on s***** teams so they didn't win anything. Carter was surrounded by all stars and hall of famers. All that said I love Joe I really do. Just being realistic about what he was.
  11. I still think Rogers Centre can work and work well Continue to rework the concourse and common areas and make it more organic. Less concrete. More nice details. Put in grass Leave the roof open the majority of the time during the summer and only close it during really bad weather that would result in game cancellations That'll do for another 10 years
  12. Merry Christmas everybody. Hope you ll have a great day.
  13. 5 bucks for Bioshock Infinite right now Try getting THAT deal on a console
  14. What about the uphill gardeners and the bikes???
  15. Who costs 1/3 as much.
  16. Meh. Don't really care. Beeston is all but gone anyway and he obviously isn't interefering with AA on deals like this.
  17. I just want AA to acquire 2 good pen arms, don't care if any of them have closer experience. Figure out who slots where in March/April.
  18. Yes! That's part of what makes the deal so awesome and so nuts that Oakland traded him. Donaldson will make a lot more via arbitration than Lawrie but whatever.
  19. I can't believe BBREF doesn't have info on options. They really should.
  20. If it wouldn't cost them 60 million dollars to do so they'd release him in a heartbeat. LOL. Amaro is so full of s***.
  21. ^ Talking out of both sides of his mouth or what??? LOL
  22. The Philadelphia Phillies have been unsuccessful at finding anyone to take Ryan Howard off their hands, but general manager Ruben Amaro, Jr. doesn't sound like he's going to keep the 35-year-old first baseman around much longer. Speaking on 97.5 The Fanatic on Friday, via Dan Toman of TheScore.com, Amaro was very frank about where Howard stands with the Phillies: "We've talked to Ryan," Amaro said. "And I told him that in our situation it would probably bode better for the organization not with him but without him. With that said if he's with us, then we'll work around him." While that seems to put a permanent strain on this marriage, Amaro also said the Phillies have no plans to eat Howard's contract just to get rid of him: "No one's going to release Ryan Howard," Amaro said. "That's not going to happen. Ryan Howard is too productive and too important a player to just release. You just don't do that with a player like that. But, we don't have any designs on doing that." Howard is guaranteed $50 million for the next two years with a $10 million buyout after 2016, so the Phillies would have to eat all of that if they were to release him. The 2006 National League MVP led the league with 190 strikeouts last year while hitting .223/.310/.380 in 153 games.
  23. What a block by Mo. LOL
  24. Beane has lost his marbles or he's on to something completely new
