    Full time at short with above average defense and below average bat even for the position. 1.0-1.5 WAR.

    I said 0.5-1.0 WAR because I suspect Travis wins the 2B job and Goins plays fewer than 100 games as our primary backup IF. He will still play a fair bit and conveniently can probably provide solid defensive backup for 2B, SS and 3B which is great. He's a much better backup option than Kawasaki and could have long stretches of regular play if any of Travis, Tulo or Donaldson have DL stints.

    There's nothing else they can do for now. Lacava was the only short term option. Too much immediate work to do that requires someone with knowledge of the organization

    Exactly. To can't throw someone else in right now. They need someone who has been here and knows the org. Lacava will be important to have around for a while yet.

    Lots of Mets fans complaining about d'Arnauds inability to control the running game. Royals are a bad team to have the problem against.

    I would like to see what AA would have done with him A ninja contract extension would have rocked but he prob would have juat reached a 1 year agreement with him I'd guess
