It sounds like he did everything he could to get Ohtani and Sasaki. They just wanted to go to LA. I don't get the sense they were strongly in on Yamamoto. Trade market is the best option but it's tough to make a deal for a high end SP from this farm. And we don't want to give up any of Yesavage, Nimmala or Barger that's for sure.

Yeah the Clement drive would frequently be caught *IF* the outfielders were in usual position. But they were playing WAY in and Pages had to literally run over his LF to catch it. It so easily could have been missed but he got it.

When they got past Seattle I felt so happy and even felt almost OK that if they lost to the Dodgers in 6 or 7 that's still a really good season. But after coming home with TWO chances to win it, and both games winnable.... if a few players had just done just a BIT more right they found have pulled it off. It's very upsetting that they couldn't get the job done. So many amazing moments and victories in the post season but I'll always feel like they could have won it all this year but fell 1/10th of a centimeter short.
