    Agreed Buyer beware Only 184 IP over the past two seasons combined I suppose the Yankees know they'll have rotation depth to compensate if he misses more time, and few starters are as impactful when they're at their best. And he's 26 years old with 3 more years of team control. So you consider all of that.

Gray or Sabbathia, the other is BP long man Bullpen: Probably best in the league again whether they re sign some of the FA guys or not Bench: Ellsbury, Wade, Bird, Frazier, backup catcher?

    It is interesting seeing the different values obtained for Yellich vs Stanton and now presumably Realmuto. Contract status and league supply/demand are such huge factors, providing very different value for these three very good players.

    The Yankees haven't had a decent 5 man rotation in quite some time The thought of them acquiring just that, and keeping their killer bullpen and keeping or even improving their good offense is terrifying

    Listening to MLB Network One of the ex GMs had an interesting comment. He had heard that of all the potential GMs the Mets interviewed, BVW was the only one who thought the Mets were potential contenders in 2019. This does not surprise me somehow Nor would it surprise me if his tenure at GM is short and disastrous

    Trout $33,250,000 in each of 2019 and 2020, the he's a free agent. He also has a full no trade clause, but may be fine with moving, who knows.
