NEW YORK -- Christian Yelich hit a fourth-inning homer off Noah Syndergaard in Saturday’s 8-6 win over the Mets to reclaim the Major League lead, with 14, breaking a tie with the Dodgers’ Cody Bellinger.
Not only that, but Yelich also tied Albert Pujols (2006) and Alex Rodriguez (2007) for the most home runs before May 1 in a single season in Major League history.
