    He seems to want to stay The only reason I saw the tweet about about the need to extend him was because Stroman himself "liked" the tweet

    Would he accept a Kyle Hendricks/Aaron Nola/Luis Severino level extension? They all signed extensions for 4 or 5 years in the range of 40-55M. I don't see how he can expect better than that. He's not better than any of those guys. And if he will there's just no reason not to.

    I'm all for a Stroman extension even though his personality has turned me off quite a bit. Don't care. He's good. With the new compensation rules you get s*** for guys walking in free agency A 5 year extension and you either keep him if you're contending or trade him with 1.5-2 years left if you're not and you get a much better return than a second round draft pick Given the thinness in the rotation I want to know he's here for a few more years
