I think if they don't get a high impact SS/3B they'll be saving payroll space to add one at the deadline or next off season.

I usually laugh when teams sign free agent closers to huge contracts But I might feel pretty good about Hendricks on a 3 year deal

True Whether its big $$$ on Springer/Lindor or lesser $ on Bradley Jr/Gregorious/Turner the defense will be improved just by moving Vlad away from 3rd and Grichuk away from CF

If we can't get an impact bat or frontline starter does it *maybe* make sense to pay top $$ for an elite closer and upgrade defensively at 3B and CF with lower cost acquisitions?

The equivalent now would be Springer says no to 5/120 So they offer Bradley Jr 3/45 right away before Springer even signs anything Hasn't happened yet so it won't happen I don't imagine

I want a big fish too I just still see Lamahieu and Realmuto staying where they are and Springer to the Mets. I'd love to be wrong though

Thats perhaps a specific case. If rhe NL gets the DH again then the Braves prob resign him immediately They may even have a gentelmans agreement in place

The lack of a minor league season is a problem Does he play mostly IF or CF this year if there is a minor league season? So far in college he's played more 3B/SS/2B than OF

Just need to invest in a TV and some new trash cans for Roger's Centre Jk FWIW he seemed to be one of the ones who didn't really benefit from the cheating. Springer actually hit better on the road in 2017 and 2019 than he did at home) -

JBJ not much different really But he just costs $$ and probably less than KK is making He should def be plan B

1.5 WAR player at best now and every year wRC+ mostly under 90 Its been 3 years since he's been really good

AA had a strict policy against incentive filled contracts and against deals over 5 years I don't think the current front office does

I'm at the point i feel we need either Springer's or LeMahieu's bat in the lineup Because I don't see us acquiring a front line starter anymore this off season -
Yeah You don't get 26-28 year old injury-free impact star players hitting free agency very often. Though there have been a couple recently. Amd they cost 1/3 of a billion dollars.
