  1. Tampa really knows when to let someone leave... Or how maximize their return when they have to trade someone who's still good.
  2. 2018 he managed a 3.62 FIP with lots of strikeouts but since then he's gotten worse despite moving to the National League
  3. Is Chris Archer beyond reclamation??
  4. Oh, I see what you're saying. I was just thinking they could make their own money by having exclusive broadcast rights on their own networks. But that has nothing to do with US TV rights and dealings with the league.
  5. If Rogers or Bell owned the team...
  6. Bullpen guys who can start for stretches are a good thing to have You just hope they don't get too many starts
  7. I've said it in three threads I want to trade for Kyle Hendriks and Kris Bryant in a package deal and call it a day
  8. I think the Jays are probably a playoff wildcard team as of now who could win a game or 5 game series but with little chance to get past the Yankees and White Sox Add one top of the rotation starter and one quality infielder and I think we have a chance against them
  9. If I want stats I go to fangraphs or BBREF If I want farm and prospect information I go to Baseball America If I want thoughtful sports writing I go to CNNSI or The Athletic
  10. Fewer Patriots fans all of a sudden this year Not sure why...
  11. Here in Atlantic Canada there are enough Red Sox fans (and worse yet even more Patriots fans) that you can get a little angry at times
  12. Pittsburgh
  13. Only if you live in Hamilton, Regina or Winnipeg I think
  14. Yeah They did OK when there were two MLB and two NBA teams in Canada
  15. That's exactly right I think Tellez becomes pretty important as quality left hand bat given the rest of our lineup now
  16. Excellent inside information
  17. Signing Bauer (who declined a QO) would cost us: A team that neither exceeded the luxury tax in the preceding season nor receives revenue sharing will lose its second-highest selection in the following year's Draft, as well as $500,000 from its international bonus pool for the upcoming signing period. Trading for a SP/3B combo would cost a major leaguer and multiple prospects
  18. Yes they could certainly afford to give Bauer a nice front loaded contract 2021 - 40M 2022 - 35M 2023 - 35M 2024 - 30M 2025 - 30M Would that get it done?? But they might prefer a trade for a more cost controlled starter plus a 3B
  19. Sweet!!!! Credit to source Sammy25
  20. I want to trade for Bryant and Kyle Hendricks SO BAD Ooooooo that 2.0/1.6/0.9 walks per 9 innings over the last 3 years...
  21. I could totally see that Dodgers 1 year deal actually happening, especially if he doesn't have super strong offers elsewhere Bauer - f*** Gerrit Cole I'm the highest paid single season SP ever and I can maybe win a WS possibly pitching against him Dodgers - f*** the Padres now our rotation is still better than yours 1. Bauer 2. Kershaw 3. Beuhler (Dave Roberts - f*** I don't even know how to order the first 3 cause it's an embarrassment of riches Muah ah ah ah ah!!!) 4/5 - May/Price/Urias/Gonsolin Pay luxury tax one year, win the WS back to back, and let Bauer go elsewhere after, leaving payroll space for Seager/Bellinger
  22. Starting pitchers who signed 1 year contracts this off season: Stroman (QO) Gausman (QO) Kluber 11M Ray 8M Happ 8M Quintana 8M Morton 15M Smyly 11M Wacha 3M DeSclafani 3M Lester 5M? Did I miss anyone? So far isn't Mike Minor the only one to even get a 2 year deal?? Bauer will get a multi year deal of course (Unless he and the Dodgers decide to do something crazy like a 1/45M deal) and probably Tanaka but that might be it.
  23. Thanks for posting this There are a lot of positives to be taken from these quotes whether he stays here or not Would love the Jays to be known as an organization where pitchers want to come and work with our staff and facilities.
  24. He's holding out for a few more pennies when he already has an offer of 110M or so Unless he actually wants to leave Philadelphia which would be pretty bad on them... Even the owner has said trading Sixto for him was a no go failure unless he stayed long term
  25. Happ is getting 8M That seems to be the going rate for that caliber of starter
