1. Yeah, looks like tweaks the last few days put the Jays a hair ahead of the Mets and Astros
2. If the Mets wouldn't go an extra 25M for their #1 target Springer because of luxury tax concerns how/why would they do it for Bauer? I don't believe that story
3. Yeah We can't even count on full healthy seasons from our #1 guy That's not good. I do like that we will have BP guys who can start like Stripling and Chatwood. And there is upside with Pearson and Ray but also risk. But we need at least one and pref 2 more starters Bauer just makes that whole rotation safer and better
4. Jim Bowden, Steve Phillips and Eduardo Perez were talking Jays this morning on MLB Network so I called in. I graded the off season a B+ so far. We agreed to go hard after Bower and/or trade for 3B/SP package to make the off season an A. They disagreed (and I knew they would) when I suggested I prefer Montoyo as a bench coach and to bring in Francona when he's free to leave the Indians LOL. Man, the radio and TV guys seem to really like Charlie. FWIW they always seemed to love Gibby too and so did I, especially the second go round.
5. Same I wanted 5 years of Springer more than anything
6. So we outbid the Mets by 25 million dollars for real?
7. TEAMS George Springer Notes: Astros, Mets, BravesJanuary 21st, 2021 at 7:27pm CST • By Connor Byrne Outfielder George Springer, arguably the premier position player on this winter’s open market, came off the free-agent board when he agreed to a six-year, $150MM contract with the Blue Jays earlier this week. Unsurprisingly, though, other teams made a serious push to sign the three-time All-Star. The Astros were not one of those clubs, however, as Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle suggests they made no real attempt to re-sign Springer after he turned down their $18.9MM qualifying offer. The Mets, who were considered one of the front-runners to ink Springer during his stay on the market, offered a six-year deal worth $120MM to $125MM, according to Anthony DiComo of MLB.com
8. Also they just worked really well together
9. Would prefer a new expansion team rather than a relocation of the Bills. Even though they're having a good year.
10. No. She was a few seats over Gibby told me he didn't want to make me look bad in the photo LOL I said yeah weren't you recently named one of the sexiest managers in baseball
11. I think I was just mentioning on the ST training thread that I was going to the game and he was too and we PMd and met up. Game was in Sarasota IIRC
12. Oh yeah! Right you are On all counts LOL
13. I think so. I was with my wife. Were you davidauthits3homeruns (or something close) on the old board? I also met Gibby and got a pic with him that game Great day
14. Yamaguchi hanging on...
15. Blue Jays Designate Anthony Castro January 21st, 2021 at 3:37pm CST • By Connor Byrne The Blue Jays have designated right-hander Anthony Castro for assignment, Scott Mitchell of TSN tweets. The move clears space for the signing of righty Tyler Chatwood, whose one-year, $3MM contract is now official.
16. Random post of pics I took of Vlad Jr duing spring training 2018 [/img]

<img src=[/img]
17. Vlad is thicky thick there. When did they even take these pictures? Prob end of the season or something but they just put this out today.
18. The tweet you posted didn't show up for a while was just a blank space Now we can see it
19. Solid lefty bat infielder is just what we need Sign me up for Gregorious happily
