Screw all this June trade talk
I want to make the post season, see both of those guys play well and offer both of them qualifying offers
I'll then happily take the draft pick for Semien and try to extend Ray for 2-3 years
I would expect so
If not then the sticky stuff might not have been helping as much as everyone thought and maybe we just have more great pitchers than great hitters these days
Even when Major League Baseball eventually does "The Right Thing", they still find a way to mess it up with poor timing, suboptimal implementation, poor communication with stakeholders and bad PR
Also, if they do make the post season and there are not significant additions, they don't stack up well due to the bullpen. Having 2-3 really good high leverage BP guys in a 7 game series with multiple off days is so important.
