  1. Exactly Probably a little scared of the upcoming CBA//lockout/free agency uncertainty Can't negotiate with anyone but the Jays Probably enjoyed his few months here Was sold on the certainty of a 7 year deal that provided security even if a bit below market value
  2. Yeah I think they are willing to spend the $$ to keep one or the other
  3. Baseball analysts loving the deal for the Jays That's the advantage of having exclusive bargaining rights
  4. Are Trout and Rendon both going to be OK for 2022?
  5. Agreed. If we have Semien/Bichette/Guerrero's bats all in the infield I can handle a defense first/average hitting 3B in there.
  6. Does the fact Robbie Ray hasn't officially turned down the QO mean any more likely that he and the team might legitimately working on a multi year deal? Or is that fact likely meaningless.
  7. How are the Red Sox finances for 2022? Can they afford to outbid everyone to keep him?
  8. Does Spraker have the stuff and makeup to be a real deal?
  9. That is the Angels way of course
  10. He debuted at 21 He's 22 now
  11. Same Unless they already have a handshake agreement that they'll have an extension done soon
  12. Blue Jays To Issue Qualifying Offers To Marcus Semien, Robbie Ray; Steven Matz Will Not Receive QONovember 6th, 2021 at 6:51pm CST • By Mark Polishuk As expected, the Blue Jays will issue qualifying offers to Marcus Semien and Robbie Ray, according to MLB Network’s Jon Heyman (all Twitter links). The Jays opted against issuing the QO to Steven Matz, however, and Heyman adds that Matz also recently turned down a multi-year contract offer from Toronto.
  13. Yeah Syndergaard prob just accepts the QO and tries to put together a healthy season
  14. Do the Giants want a free agent older more experienced catcher? Or one of our young ones?
  15. Me too until heard his name on MLB Network Do they play him at 2B? They have too many 1B/DH types aready and there may or may not be a DH spot for anyone
  16. Mets top them all tho No GM No manager Infighting Only 2 SP signed for 2022 And they get Cano back for 24 million dollars next year
  17. He could have got himself traded any time but he didn't seem to want to Bad thing is if they kept convincing him they were going to be competitive while he was there
  18. And that didn't work out so well for the Angels...
  19. A's firesale coming maybe? And they felt it fair to warn him in case he wants no part of being around during a deep rebuild?
  20. Seems odd unless they kinda wanted him gone anyway But that doesn't seem likely at all I don't get it
