  1. I want a step up start from JJ today and badly as I did for RAD this weekend.
  2. Is Gibby worthy? Uh. I'm just glad he didn't pick Farrell.
  3. Yep. Terrible decision in retrospect. Really stinks too (literally and figuratively) because that's a really good team now and likely will stay that way for some time.
  4. Exactly. It's the knee holding him back, not the head injury.
  5. Agreed. And that makes sense. If we're not in it, you see if you can get something better than a draft pick. If not its a qualifying offer and see ya later. I can't see us gambling on extending him, even if he's quite a bit better in the second half.
  6. Gasp! We need to keep Lind. Can't believe I'm saying that but he's creating runs all the time with no Reyes and no Lawrie in the lineup Plus, I'm not sure most GM's would look at Lind and trust that he will keep this up. May not value him that highly due to the 2 bad years
  7. If we trade Janssen (and I'm down with it FOR THE RIGHT RETURN) who would Gibby likely use most in the 9th? Hopefully not Delabar - "closer stuff" but he walks too many Prob not Cecil even though he is the best in the BP with Casey gone Wagner would maybe get a go at it but he's so new in the majors Again, having Sergio "Sixty Day" Santos would be nice in this situation
  8. How nice would it be if Santos was healthy and pitching well, then we could happily trade him or Janssen to the highest bidder. #DombrowskiNeedsAClozer
  9. If we are in spitting distance of the wild card spots or in there at the deadline, he would only trade for MLB caliber players that fill an area of need. 2B, SP being the obvious targets. If we are sunk and 12 games out at that point he will deal every last-year-of-contract player we have if he can get something decent in return (Johnson and Oliver are the obvious ones)
  10. Yep. And I'm glad he didn't do anything foolish yet this season despite the terrible start. He's waiting to see what is working and what's not, what he needs, who is expendable and who is available. It's frustrating to watch and not know what he's thinking, but I agree a trade deadline move of significance is almost certain if we are continuing to get better but need a boost, or if we tank again.
  11. How did Houston manage that??? You're the number one pick. Drafted by an absolutely terrible team. And you sign for less than slot value???
  12. Salvador Perez could end up in the upper tier before long...
  13. Catcher really is a weak position nowadays. Buster Posey and Yadier Molina are so much better than everybody else it's not even funny.
  14. Oh yeah But cheap azz owners are cheap azz owners...
  15. Yeah you're right of course. Buerhle has been phenomenal this past month.
  16. Reyes Bautista EE Lind Melky Rasmus JPA/Thole Izturis Kawasaki ???
  17. We don't have any board regulars in the Dunedin area do we???
  18. Seems like it Would like a report on his fielding...
  19. Oops. I didn't realize someone had already posted the info on his good speedy game yesterday BTW, how does he decide how many flexed arm emoticons he puts in any given tweet? Is there a system?
  20. That makes me beyond happy...
