  1. I'm just following on Gameday. Is his sinker looking good?
  2. Wow Lots of hits Got to cash more runners in though...
  3. Good Even if we're really chasing the Orioles, I'll cheer for them to beat the Red Sox every time.
  4. This is awesome news Thanks for sharing
  5. Agree The team is fun to watch again, and will only get better with Reyes back I don't miss Lawrie. At all. If only the starting pitching could find a way... Morrow or Johnson back and better, a successful second call up for Ricky, a better than expected few starts from Wang, Hutch or Drabek activated and pitching OK. There are lots of good things than COULD happen, but none of the above seems particularly likely. I fear the starting rotation will continue to be our Achilles heel all year...
  6. Yep. I have never been a JP hater. I was set to be satisfied with a .230 hitting 25 HR catcher if he continued to improve his defence. But he hasn't. And his bat is ice cold to boot.
  7. Not many Jays even close. DESIGNATED HITTER David Ortiz, Red Sox 2,488,451 Lance Berkman, Rangers 1,239,521 Edwin Encarnacion, Blue Jays 769,322 OUTFIELD Adam Jones, Orioles 2,740,505 Mike Trout, Angels 2,710,115 Nick Markakis, Orioles 1,463,392 Torii Hunter, Tigers 1,425,571 Jose Bautista, Blue Jays 1,379,251
  8. Some data is starting to come out Miguel Cabrera could challenge the recent vote records set by Bautista and then Hamilton http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20130615&content_id=50614732&vkey=news_mlb&c_id=mlb
  9. MLB.com: OAKLAND -- The Mariners didn't sign Henry Blanco for his bat. Nor did they bring him in for his play behind the plate. Seattle reached out to the 41-year-old journeyman to serve as a mentor to rookie catcher Mike Zunino and bring wisdom to the team gained through 16 years of Major League experience. He came to be a figure on the bench. His contributions would mostly come in the clubhouse, not through production on the field. Yet it was Blanco, playing in his first game as a Mariner after meeting the team in Oakland one day ago, who shined brightest Saturday in Seattle's 4-0 win against the A's. Seattle's backup catcher broke a scoreless tie in the sixth inning with a grand slam that was more than enough for Felix Hernandez to improve to 8-4 after dealing his fourth scoreless outing of the season.
  10. MLB.com: ANAHEIM -- Yankees manager Joe Girardi comes to the ballpark every day with the belief that his offense is going to break out of its funk. While Girardi held that belief entering Saturday's contest, he will have to wait at least one more day for it to come to fruition as the Yankees lost, 6-2, to the Angels at Angel Stadium. Not only did the Yankees lose their fifth straight game -- tying their longest losing streak of the season -- but their cleanup hitter and first baseman, Mark Teixeira, left the game in the middle of the fourth inning with an aggravated right wrist. Teixeira will not be with the team for the series finale on Sunday as he will travel to New York to be evaluated by team physician Christopher Ahmad. The switch-hitter is batting just .151 this season, but his loss would be tough on a lineup already missing Francisco Cervelli, Curtis Granderson, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Kevin Youkilis.
  11. Nobody wants Romero on his current contract. Anyone could have had him and every team let him pass through waivers.
  12. Utley or Kinsler would just provide such stability in the infield.
  13. Not Osuna!!!
  14. Kershaw gonna get paid. Reliable ace, team with tons of cash and underperforming - Dodgers, Kershaw Discussing Extension by Max Fogle, Jun 15 at 9:59 PM CST Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports that the Dodgers and Clayton Kershaw are making progress on an extension. Rosenthal notes that the potential deal will be for at least $180MM.
  15. Hahahaha aha Of course LOL
  16. Kick 'Em while they're down!!! Yankes too. Bitches.
  17. Yeah. To go from what they've been to what they could be could add ++ wins.
  18. Those wildcard games are such a crapshoot though, holy crap But how exciting to be in one. I'd go for sure.
  19. It's totally manageable Very happy with these last two weeks
  20. Prob depends on the health of their starting as the trade deadline nears
  21. Those wrist things can linger for years...
