    Yeah. Neither may be capable of hitting over .250 in the bigs, but Goins looks like a much better defender, looks faster (? true) and is younger and cheaper. I'd like to keep both in the organization, but one needs to play in Buffalo. #BisonsNeedToWinToo

    1HR in that 6 game home stand. And they went 4-2. Amazing. Pitching and defense matter eh?

    That's one of the problems. Buerhle is indispensable to this team now. They can't risk giving up a workhorse like that when the rest of the rotation is so fragile. 18M or not, and 4+ ERA or not, we need him next year.

    With Bautista and Rasmus out of the lineup we have a completely powerless outfield. It's ridiculous.

    Buster Olney was on ESPN radio today talking about pending free agents who either hurt or helped themselves this year. (3 each). #1 was Josh Johnson, who Olney suggested would probably have to settle for a 1 year deal at 5-6M. Seems low to me but I'd do that in a second if I was AA.

    Yup. And we might as well keep Lind. Someone will give Morneau more than the money we owe Lind next year. Money is better spent on SP and C.

    Any chance AA buys out Lind and signs Morneau this off season?? I don't know if that makes any sense at all (it probably doesn't) but AA likes him and Morneau has said publicly that he'd like to play for the Blue Jays.

    A rotation including McGowan, Morrow and Johnson would be laughably dangerous. The three together probably can't throw 200 innings in a season...

    FWIW, I sort of feel that begging Wilner for something maybe should be a banable offense... It's just that he ignored my first ask to him and Hayhurst.
