    The Nationals announced that right-hander Matt Waldron was claimed off waivers from the Blue Jays. Connelly Early was moved from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL in the corresponding roster move.

    Yankees lefty Ryan Weathers was pulled from his outing on Saturday against the Blue Jays with forearm discomfort, per a team announcement. He’s headed for imaging. Weathers was removed with one out and two runners on in the fourth inning during a Myles Straw at-bat. Weathers labored through his outing before the injury. He had already thrown 72 pitches to get 10 outs. Toronto was threatening to break open a tight game. As Bryan Hoch of MLB.com noted, something appeared to go wrong on his final pitch to Straw
