  1. The good thing is we still have Clement and Barger so they can try all kinds of things out in spring training
  2. You are definitely not alone Bo might cost half as much and is easier to plug into the team as currently constructed
  3. Santander and Okamoto playing near full time OF/3B is a bit of a step down. Swapping Gimenez and Bo is a step up. Overall it's probably close
  4. Well yeah they're not after Bregman anymore Bichette and Tucker def yes
  5. Paxton Schultz has been designated for assignment to make room for Okamoto
  6. Bring Bo back and the team is better in every way from last year except defense Starting rotation Bullpen Lineup All better
  7. Say there are no more moves (I think there will be but if there's not) Barger Clement Schneider share RF and 2B essentially?
  8. We just don't have a natural sort of #2 hitter so someone moves up there and it won't be Vladdy cause he kikes hitting 3rd.
  9. Lineup Springer ???? Guerrero Jr Santander Okamoto Barger/Clement Varsho Kirk Gimenez
  10. Love signings like this No real risk. Potential nice reward with some patience.
  11. Hitting in Japan is overall better than Korea yes?
  12. At this point I'm happy if they resigned Bichette, or signed Bregman, or traded for Marte. Any one of those and I'm fine if they leave it at that. I'm probably okay if they wait until the trade deadline to see how the bullpen is working out.
  13. By the time spring training starts he'll be over a year and a half since his surgery However, people were wondering if there might have been something else wrong at the end of this past season We don't know
  14. The Angels and Anthony Rendon have agreed to a restructured version of his contract that will defer the $38MM he is still owed for the next three to five seasons, reports Sam Blum of The Athletic. Rendon will not return to the team. His tenure with the Angels is over.
  15. But also there are a LOT of off days in April. They definitely won't use 6 starters to START the season. -
  16. Top 4 starters: Gausman, Cease, Yesavage, Bieber. I'd say Berrios and Ponce are in the running for 5th starter. Lauer is the main swingman? One of those 3 will not start if they're all still here opening day.
  17. I also don't imagine they want him to opt in and get paid 24M as a reliever So hopefully he either: A) gets traded this off season B) sorts his arm out and pitches well enough to work as a starter and either stays on or builds his trade value for later
  18. https://www.tsn.ca/mlb/article/atkins-says-berrios-made-decision-to-not-be-with-jays-for-world-series-he-was-not-happy/#:~:text=Berrios did not appear in,with him%2C according to Matheson.
  19. I didn't realize until I heard it on the radio last week that Berrios left the team and went home during the World Series because he wasn't on the roster.
  20. A's keep locking up their good young players Tyler Soderstrom 7 years, $86MM Brent Rooker 5 years $60 MM plus vesting options Lawrence Butler 7 years $65.5MM Kurtz next??
  21. Merry Chistmas y'all
  22. I'm going to miss Springer so much when he's gone. I know the Jays didn't draft him and he hasn't been on the team quite as long as Vladdy and Bo. But he feels like as much the heart and soul of the team as they do.
