    Halladay jersey "durability" - Risk Factor/Injury History: Eventual; this shirt will be unstoppable for a decade, to the point where you take for granted what an incredible, durable shirt it is. Then one day you’ll take it out of the wash and see a frayed thread. You’ll look a little closer, trying desperately to convince yourself you’re not seeing what you think you’re seeing, while knowing in the back of your mind that it will never be the same again.

    I worry about the offense in this scenario. We're all hoping Melky is better but who knows. And we know Gose can't hit. If I'm trading Lind and moving Melky to DH, I want to know I've got a good bat in LF.

    Do the Brewers really want to move Braun? And would his "cost" to acquire in trade really be any lower right now or not.

    There is. Who would you replace him with for 7M? Though as I've said many times I could get on board with trading Lind, adding a solid LF bat (Kemp, Braun, Choo) and moving Melky to primary DH and backup OF.

    I think I've asked this before but don't remember the answer. Do the Indians still have any rights on Sizemore or is he free to sign with whomever he wants??

    Has he said for sure he wants to play next year? If so yeah as part time DH and backup to the oft injured Lawrie? Sweet. But Yanks likely resign for much less $ than he got this year. Edit On second thought I think the Yankees decide to let him go. they have too many other old often injured guys. It burned Cash man badly last year. I expect he's learned from that.

    One thing for sure - with Bonifacio and Arencibia both gone there will be fewer holes in the lineup.

    Not really. That's what I meant by pulling punches. Didn't aim that high. He could be below average to quite good. He's been both in his career.

    I call for a Lawrie season of .280 BA and 20-25 HR with lots of doubles and a smattering of stolen bases. We all know he has that in him. he just needs to stay healthy-ish and focused.

    I'm glad they upgraded catcher I really am but he did pull his punches there a little bit. Because of this I want him to aim higher on the pitching front If he does land a quality starter on top of the catcher change, you can count me among the minority on here who are OK with Goins/ I Izturis at second base. Izturis will almost certainly be better in 2014. And the other infielders (Edwin, Reyes, Lawrie) should compensate offensively. I am again predicting a breakout season for Lawrie. If I'm wrong (again) then I concede that's s major problem.

    A solid right handed bat on the bench to platoon with Lind A quality mid rotation or better starter Yes, a lot will have to go right to make the post season but I think that's all AA is even going to attempt to do. And done with only giving up one among Gose Stroman and Sanchez
