  1. Angels sign John McDonald
  2. Yeah the California seasons were the horrid, historically bad ones.
  3. I'd love for the Cubs to sign him. But everything he's said about where he wants to play makes it seem very unlikely.
  4. Yankees have announced that they have released Vernon Wells
  5. Plus he's pretty much irreplaceable. What are you gonna do? They have the cash...
  6. Biggest contract for a pitcher ever??
  7. Ichiro amd Nintendo legacy in full effect too
  8. Newsflash: AA announces he will NOT BE OUTBID on Ervin Santana (LOL joking)
  9. If you're Tanaka and sign with the Jays (or Cubs any bad weather area team) you're probably living in Japan from October/November to February, then Florida for 6 weeks, and then you're on the road half the time from April to end of September. I doubt weather is a significant part of his decision. Money, team cachet, chances of winning and proximity to Japan are probably all MUCH more important.
  10. This gave me my morning laugh
  11. I though they weren't going to sign a closer??
  12. John Buck to Mariners for a measly 1M. Nice backup.
  13. But he's such an idiot And we already have a cheap all glove CF...
  14. Dude that's who you should see about your back! (I can only imagine what he charges...)
  15. With the depth we have, skipping starts or an extra day of rest for him could work. Happ or Rogers could both move back and forth from rotation to BP if Morrow makes the rotation out of ST. That said, managers really don't like f'ing with the rotation that much and Gibby in specifically has a "if he's on the 25 man roster he's gonna pitch" mentality.
  16. LOL. Course we're paying Morrow like 6 times as much.
  17. True. Not sure if any site keeps just pure stats like number of times/lengths of DL stints. It's all on this one, but with a lot of extra crap mixed in.
  18. LOL Make him sign with his left hand
  19. http://www.rotoworld.com/recent/mlb/4514/brandon-morrow
  20. Would be massively helpful, no doubt
  21. I'm more optimistic that Morrow throws 190 innings than I am of Ricky being a productive member of the major league club. A Romero comeback at this point just seems inconceivable. A healthy year for Morrow feels unlikely but at least possible.
  22. Yep This team should score reasonably well, but to win 88-92 games requires at least some occasional gem pitching performances to steal extra games here and there. Lord knows we got VERY few of those last year. And Morrow and Dickey are the ones who should be doing it. Buehrle and Hutch should be able to keep the team in the games most nights, but RAD and BM (LOL @ unfortunate abbreviation) are capable of 8 innings of 1-2 hit shutout ball. You need some of that.
