    Actually Bonds faced Maddux more than any other pitcher BA. 265 over 157 PA. He walked 24 times. I'd guess almost half of those walks were intentional.

    Check out this insane Maddux stat tweeted by Drew Hutchison: Greg Maddux faced 20,421 batters in his career. Only 133 of those at-bats went to 3-0 counts.

    No matter who gets Tanaka I just really hope it doesn't take until the last minute to get a deal done

    It is beyond filthy, by both the eye test and these stats. What a devastating pitch from a guy who also sports a 95 MPH fastball. But DAMN if he could stay healthy.

    Agree on Tanaka But I think Jiminez is worth signing. Just because you need to plug 4 holes doesn't mean you don't start with one. And I think it's more like 2 holes. And if Stroman or Hutch can't plug that second hole you trade for someone in July.

    Been listening to him in and off the past couple hours. Mostly he's just being an ass and acting silly about the whole thing. He's apparently having Bob Costas and Tom Glavine on the show to discuss it

    Nah. He'll sign a pitcher. Much more likely Jimenez than Tanaka. But he knows he HAS to add someone.

    If you sign Tanaka ($$$) you can still trade for Franklin or Espinosa and make the team better without necessarily costing any more money
