    The problem is, Izturis is now nothing more than a reasonable backup utility infielder, who is being paid like a 1 WAR starter.

    AA and Gibby say they undervalued defense last year and say they learned from that mistake Now they are taking one of the worst defenders we've ever seen for the 4th OF job and have a backup CF who almost certainly is inadequate.

    I'd say we've been reasonably lucky so far (knocks on wood) Only a guy we didn't really want in the rotation has been hurt and they're saying he seems OK
