  1. Somewhere, in a high end South Florida seafood restaurant, Ian Kinsler is chuckling and trying to hide it
  2. Just to complete the infield s*** show, yes, let's presume that happens once this year
  3. Oh the vocals are atrocious. Just painful. Angrioter is FOS. Some of the songs rock (Angry Again, Psychotron, Peace Sells) but the vocals are just cringeworthy. I have seen both in concert at various times through career
  4. Plus that was 20 f'n years ago. How many good-great songs do Megadeth really have? 5-10 at most. Metallica 30+ easily.

  6. I feel zero guilt about wishing for bad things to happen to the Boston Red Sox this year
  7. We've seen everything we had hoped to see Several decent SP options emerging Almost everyone healthy (knocks on wood) Playing smarter And yeah getting better as March wears on which is what you want to see

  10. Best songwriter: James Mustaine is a killer musician but Hetfield and Ulrich own him in songwriting
  11. Isn't the plan to extend Scherzer half the reason they traded away Fister and Fielder? But they won't give him "almost Verlander" money?
  12. Tigers, Scherzer Done Talking Extension For Season By Zach Links [March 23 at 1:07pm CST] 1:07 pm: Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports also spoke with Boras and the agent indicated both sides were active in talks and there was a price point at which Scherzer would have said yes, but he declined to disclose the details of his proposal to the Tigers (Twitter links). 12:25 pm: Scott Boras tells ESPN.com it wasn't Scherzer who rejected the extension offer, but the Tigers. "Max Scherzer made a substantial long-term contract extension offer to the Detroit Tigers that would have placed him among the highest-paid pitchers in baseball, and the offer was rejected by Detroit,'' Boras said. "Max is very happy with the city of Detroit, the fans and his teammates, and we will continue negotiating with the Tigers at season's end." 10:58am: An industry source told ESPN.com's Jayson Stark that the Tigers' offer to Scherzer was for a slightly lower figure than the $25.7MM per year that Justin Verlander received in the extension he signed last spring. However, the deal still would have placed Scherzer among the top six highest-paid pitchers in baseball in terms of average annual value.
  13. s***, Gose lined a ball right at the 2B too Nice swing on that one Haven'tr seen too many of his AB's
  14. Fat catchers with good hands are OK with me LOL JP was in shape but...
  15. The Yankees could be the worst defensive team in the AL this year Weak spots everywhere except Gardner.
  16. The argument for him is high ceiling and ability to retain him on a 1 year deal (his agent even came out and said he would accept a QO) But yeah his health history rightfully scared them off. Especially when you only had two dependable guys in the rotation as it stood. Not worth the risk.
  17. Yes Even when he was pitching his performance was affected by injuries. He was bad, no statistical apologies can counteract that. He got unlucky on top of it too with more hits per ball in play, but he sucked by any measure.
  18. Pineda could be a game changer for the Yankees this year If Pineda AND Tanaka are good? Ug
