Geovany Soto
Soto went down to injury just after Profar. His problem was a torn meniscus. He's also been slow to recover as it's an injury that hampers a catcher. Dave Sessions updates his status:
"Catcher Geovany Soto (torn meniscus, right knee) is still in a brace for another week or two, but remains on schedule to return in June, Levine said."
The Rangers are desperate for Soto to return. The catching position has been a complete disaster. J.P. Arencibia struggled at the plate, putting up a woeful .094 (3-for-32) average. He lost the job to Robinson Chirinos, who has been better at the plate but still not great, hitting .232 with a pair of home runs & seven RBI. They won't rush Soto back but they will be quietly celebrating once he's ready. Last season, Soto hit .440 in the month of September & the Rangers are hoping he can return to All-Star form at the plate.
