    He could be a top 5 MVP candidate easily. Killer OBP and HR/RBI numbers and playing a solid RF with killer arm. And yes he seems more "in the game" than ever. All business. Very little griping. He's a terrifying beast for opposing teams, especially when EE and Francisco are backing him up and hitting too.

    Yeah at points many were worried than he was in decline. But it looks like he's still.got it. Last 2 seasons were probably only sub par because of injuries.

    Kratz could work if the timing works out properly Navarro catching and Kratz DH vs LHP Doesn't work well if you keep trying to match certain catchers with certain pitchers though A right hand hitting 4th OF would be ideal, but Pillar isn't good enough and neither was Sierra

    Never mind foolish contract extensions to Utley, Howard, Rollins and others. He seems to fail to understand the concept of decline.

    He HAS to sign both first round picks this year and he knows it 1. The farm needs help 2. That Beede pick gets lost if he fails to sign a pick one or two more times doesn't it?

    There must be 10,000 people who would be better at managing a team than Amaro Jr is. How he still has a GM job is beyond me. If he and AA both get fired this year, I'd bet money that AA gets the Phillies job. He's best buds with Pat Gillick.

    Yep. Polar opposite of Buerhle, who apparently doesn't even read the scouting reports on hitters. He just throws what the catcher calls for.

    No need to extend him League minimum for.now and he won't make much in arbitration unless he gets a LOT more playing time.

    Also.terrible at throwing guys out at 2B. Game caller? Don't know but my guess is not very good.

    I so badly wanted to make a thread the other day called "Janssen is money", after his second calm save in 2 days But I didn't want a jinx like my poorly timed "Santos is filthy" thread so I decided not to Superstitious? Yes. This one worries me a bit. LOL
