    Was never said what how it actually happened. But the result was that after the phone call the wrong guy was warming up in the pen and when he came out LaRussa had this WTF??? look on his face. No one ever said who screwed up I don't think.

    Why in the world would he? No one else is going to guarantee him a major league starting job, nor pay him anywhere near the 7.5M we're giving him annually.

    Yeah it's fair to say that Rasmus will almost certainly hit better than Gose over the next 2 months if given equal playing time and enough time for Rasmus to come around. Damn but his slumps are long.

    This bothers me the least. Clutch hitting is probably not a real thing. What bothers me most is his poor pitch recognition/swing selection and high strikeout rates. Anything with sink he just swings right over top of. Repeatedly.

    Some nice pitches there. And some so-so ones. Some of those 3rd strike pitches would NOT get past the Miggys/Pedroias/Donaldsons/Longorias of the AL unless they were set up REALLY well

    Norris to move up to Buffalo If Romero "quit" we would no longer have to pay him. A player can opt of their contract any time they want. Then then become a free agent, BUT then they can't play for another team for 1 year. But why would he do that???
