    Yeah, they've had a good decade recently. We have not.

    We have been reasonably lucky so far yes. So far injuries have occurred to guys we actually have decent backups for Ramus/Gose, Lind/Francisco. Janssen hurt even though most of us thought we'd be fine with Santos. Lawrie Bautista or Reyes would really hurt as would any of the 3 good starters.

    I just looked and yeah, he has somehow gotten better the last few years. Still, I hate trading for guys we could have signed as free agents. It's depressing. LOL

    You don't think either could put up EJax's 4 career FIP? I'll admit I was somewhat in favour of signing him as a FA when he was available 1.5 years ago when we desperately needed guys who could give innings. But things have changed. And I'm not sure he's better than those two.

    It's awesome. Obviously won't last but keep it going as long as you can, get some distance from the division so that the next (hopefully short) slump is more manageable.

    5 game win streaks against teams like Boston and Oakland make me supremely calm

    It is a HUGE deal that Dickey can have a shut down game like this against a good offense. HUGE. If he can be a legit #2 caliber guy, and if any of Stroman/Nolin/Hendriks can be good as well, we're in good shape.
